Welcome a signal without making it a new identity.
An discomfort can draw our attention to an expectation, a situation that no longer suits us or a habit that we do not notice. In my approach, it becomes an invitation to look precisely at what is happening, rather than to define itself entirely by what one feels.
This does not mean that all suffering comes from a thought, or that going worse proves progress. Exploration must remain at a bearable intensity. It can also lead to asking for help, resting or changing a concrete situation.
In your daily life
Start with a mild discomfort and simply name it. If this becomes too intense, stop the exercise and return to your environment.
